Terms of Service

License

Whisper Desk Pro is licensed, not sold. When you purchase a lifetime license, you are granted a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software on one device at a time.

You may transfer your license to a different device, but only one device may be actively using the license at any given time.

Free Trial

Whisper Desk offers a 30-day full-featured trial. No credit card is required to start your trial.

After the trial period ends, the software will continue to function with a usage limit of 30 seconds per day. Purchasing a license removes this limitation.

Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with Whisper Desk for any reason, contact us at support@whisperdesk.net within 30 days of purchase for a full refund.

No questions asked. We want you to be happy with your purchase.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
  • Redistribute or resell the software or license keys
  • Use the software for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Remove or modify any proprietary notices or labels
  • Share your license key with others

Open Source Components

Whisper Desk includes open-source components licensed under their respective licenses, including:

  • whisper.cpp (MIT License)
  • OpenAI Whisper (MIT License)
  • PyQt6 (GPL v3)
  • Other dependencies listed in the application

These components retain their original licenses. Whisper Desk's proprietary code is separate from these open-source components.

Warranty Disclaimer

Whisper Desk is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the software will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that defects will be corrected.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Whisper Desk or its developers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the license.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the software after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
